Physician Fellowship Programs
Critical Care physician fellows train in programs across several divisions in the Emory University School of Medicine, including Neurocritical Care in the Department of Neurosurgery; the Department of Surgery; the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine; and the Department of Anesthesiology.
Department of Neurosurgery
The two-year Emory Neurocritical Care Fellowship is dedicated to training the next generation of hands-on, compassionate, inquisitive, diverse neurointensivists. Applications are currently being accepted for positions starting July 1, 2024. There are four fellowship positions offered each year.

This two-year program is for applicants trained in either internal medicine or emergency medicine, and one year in length for internal medicine applicants who have already completed training in another subspecialty of internal medicine.

Our ACGME-accredited program is open to graduates of the correspondingly accredited programs of anesthesiology, emergency medicine, and surgery. Trainees are prepared for board certification in critical care medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology.
