Emory Critical Care Research


The Emory Critical Care Center includes clinicians and researchers from the departments of Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Medicine, Biomedical Informatics, Pediatrics, Neurology, and Surgery. Areas of active research include sepsis, ARDS, respiratory failure, delirium, epidemiology, predictive analytics, and metabolomics. The ECCC includes researchers with national and international reputations, and also takes pride in mentoring junior investigators to develop successful academic careers. ECCC research also includes the Emory Critical Illness Research Center( E-CIRC) , a clinical and translational research collaboration designed to enroll patients into clinical trials that will potentially improve the care of patients with life threatening illness and injury.
