The Society of Critical Care Medicine has named Jonathan E. Sevransky, MD, MHS, FCCM, as the new incoming editor-in-chief of Critical Care Medicine (CCM). His term will begin in October 2024, succeeding Emory Critical Care Center Founding Director Timothy G. Buchman, PhD, MD, MCCM, who has served as editor-in-chief since 2014. “Just like the delivery of critical care," said Dr. Sevransky, "the CCM editorial leadership group represents a team effort, and I look forward to working with a wonderful team to achieve more than I could on my own and ensuring the important research in CCM is delivered to our readers to improve patient care.”

Dr. Sevransky is a leader in critical care as a professor of medicine, eminent physician, and associate division director for critical care in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine.
